D.I.Y. Project "Ornament earrings"
12:23 AM Unknown 0 Comments
The top three pictures are the items you'll need. You pull the hook a loose from the earring with the puller. Hook it on the ornament (best to use a small light weight ornament). Used the bumper to close the hook onto the ornament. All done. The small ornaments I used were sold separately but were on sale for $.69 each. D.I.Y. done using things I already had for total cost of $1.38

Target hacked durning Christmas season
10:13 AM Unknown 0 Comments
I have a love love relationship with Target but this right here has me hot. This is unacceptable & some people there need to be fired!!! The government needs to investigate this ASAP. Millions of people will be harmed by this for the next several months. Everyone should call their banks & request new cards if you shopped there this season.
Searching for a crop sweater
9:20 PM Unknown 1 Comments
This fashion look was inspired by Kim aka @naturallyfashionable cropped sweater instagram post. I love her look but a crop sweater in plus are hard to find. I contacted her and asked where she came across her fab find. She advised me she had picked it up at Forever 21. I hadn't see it in store or online and I'm also aware their selections vary from location to location even in the same city.
I wasn't discouraged in my search. Keeping my eyes open and looking around in different locations *que horns* there it was. Just hanging there in the straight sizes at Nordstrom rack.
I would like to say a few things. It's ok to ask people where they purchased an item you like. Along with that it's ok to tell people were you picked up items at.
It doesn't take away from how great you look in your garments. Second it's ok to look in other section beyond "plus size". Straight size offers many options for a curvy sister. Lastly give credit and support. Kim gives great style inspiration. To be inspired by someone doesn't make you a copy cat.
Double Standard
8:28 PM Unknown 0 Comments
Why is there a double standard when is comes to male vs. female of size? Why is Rick Ross ok to run out on every stage shirtless as leader of sexy beard gang however Gabby can't even get a you look fabulous at the Oscars & have the respect of the full figured community. When you see a plus woman what runs though your mind? Does it differ from what you think when you see a husky man? Even the language we use when speaking about people of size of different sexes. Men's sizes are called husky or big & tall while women's sizes are called plus or extended.
Nordstrom's Pretty Party
2:36 PM Unknown 2 Comments
I attended a "Pretty Party" at the Schaumburg Nordstrom. Nordstrom has many events throughout the year focused on makeup, lingerie, etc. The event I attended was hosted by the department manger of Cosmetics & Fine Fragrances Katie Steiner. It started at 8AM & you had to RSVP by paying $20. The $20 was placed on a gift card that could be used as a credit toward make up of your choice that day. To RSVP you had to call or stop by your favorite cosmetics counter. I registered by calling the cosmetics department.
Beautiful on a budget

Being plus size shouldn't have to burst you're budget. With the holiday season among us now there'll be lots of party invites one will receive. Be it for the job or family. We always wants to look our best but cost is a huge factor in purchasing an item. So I've snagged a few looks I liked off the Forever 21 website. To encourage us to look fab without making our pockets flat. I've see all of these looks instore for those of us that don't like paying S&H. I've broken up the looks by prices under $20, $30 & $40.
I'm thinking about making this a feature on the blog every Wednesday. Leave your feedback!
All above dresses are under $30
